"Hello, everybody:
If you are a writer with a novel that is almost completed or that is completed but not yet published, you might want to avail yourself of the following opportunity. I am going to spotlight a dozen novelists on my podcast The Joy of Living Creatively, which has about 12,000 downloads each month. Each week for 12 weeks I will spotlight one author.
The author who is spotlighted will provide me with written text (1000 – 1500 words, crafted in the third person; that is, “Mary grew up in the desert town of Sonora and became interested in fiction when she first read The Trial”) and I will present that text. The author can use those 1000 – 1500 words to tell listeners a little bit about herself, describe her current novel, share a passage or passages from the novel (no more than 500 words should be excerpts from the novel), and let listeners (including any agents or editors who may be listening) know how to get in contact with her.
The series will start roughly at the beginning of March and will be called Editors, Take Notice! If you would like to be one of these twelve authors, drop me an email at ericmaisel@hotmail.com. Of course, there is no charge for this—I think it will be fun! So get in touch if you fit the bill, are willing to craft that 1000 – 1500 word piece, and want to be spotlighted.
Best,
Eric"
